Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Float Pool at St. Francis Downtown. The role supports RNs, sanitizes rooms, monitors patient health, assists with feeding and grooming, and aids with mobility.

This position requires strong communication and empathy, and adapts to a fast-paced hospital environment. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of clinical experience, a nursing aide training program or equivalent, and Basic Life Support certification or

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Nursing aide training program or equivalent.
• CNA Certified Nurse Aide or nursing program with clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and comfort.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse, reporting changes and concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in the EHR where applicable.
• Assists with hand-offs and reports pertinent information during admissions and discharges.
