Job summary

Cogir of Chesapeake is seeking Care Partners to provide compassionate, personalized direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and ensuring comfort, safety, and well‑being. Your role supports independence, privacy, and dignity in a team setting.

You will participate in life enrichment activities, maintain open communication with families and staff, and uphold safety and licensing guidelines. Weekend rotation and ongoing caregiver training are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current caregiver training/certification per state requirements, such as CNA/GNA/PCA/DCA, or willingness/ability to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring) per safety guidelines.
• Provide compassionate care to promote independence, communication, and emotional support.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as making beds and tidying rooms.
• Foster open communication among healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
