Job summary

Jackson Creek Post Acute is seeking a dedicated housekeeping teammate to maintain public areas, patient rooms, and bathrooms in a long-term care setting. You will ensure floors, fixtures, and surfaces are clean and safe, using proper safety signage and procedures while working independently or with a team.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prior long-term care experience; fluent English is required to read procedures and instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Fluent reading and understanding of procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas daily (lobby, restrooms, floors).
• Clean and maintain resident rooms and bathrooms, and fixtures.
• Keep handrails, walls, mirrors and windows clean and debris-free.
• Empty trash and replace liners; mop and sweep floors.
• Adhere to safety measures; use caution signage; keep supplies out of residents' reach.
• Operate housekeeping carts and storage areas in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Notify Director of Housekeeping/Administrator/Director of Nursing about safety concerns or supply needs.
