Job summary

CommCare Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Staff member for Lakeland Community Care Center in Jackson, MS. You will perform cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents and collaborate with a dedicated care team.

The ideal candidate has a High school diploma or GED (preferred), speaks English, and shows genuine care for seniors. Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Affinity for working with seniors.
• Professional and neat appearance and presentation, including adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Dust wall vents, handrails, ceiling fans, baseboards, furniture and blinds.
• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets and furniture as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring that all paper goods and soap dispensers are stocked adequately.
• Check for and remove marks from walls.
• Empty trash cans in resident apartments/suites and common areas.
• Follow proper cleaning and infection control policies and procedures.
• Document provision of services in accordance with Company policy.
• Report any hazards, violations, or sanitation issues to the Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping.
• Work collaboratively with peers and other team members to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all residents.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, particularly when interacting with residents and their families.
• Communicate with residents, family members and guests in a respectful, diplomatic manner. Collaborate with associates in other departments to ensure that resident needs are being met appropriately.
