Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation while following safety guidelines and dietary restrictions, and you will work closely with staff to deliver excellent service.

This role offers hands-on training, career development, and a supportive team dedicated to resident well-being and positive dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Communicate effectively with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food/sanitation products.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Residency within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
