Job summary

Simpson is seeking a Care Associate to join our dedicated team. You will provide compassionate care to residents in an assisted living or personal care setting, assisting with ADLs, mobility, meals, and daily activities.

You will support health monitoring, medication reminders, and companionship, while documenting observations in resident records. Expect shifts that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent (ie: GED)
• Temple University Online Direct Care Staff Training and Competency Test
• Dementia Care Training within 30 days of hire
• CPR Certified
• First Aid Certified
• AED Certified (Preferred)
• Medication Administration Certified (Preferred)
• 1 year experience providing direct care to seniors or disabled people
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to communicate with healthcare providers

Responsibilities

• Providing care and support to residents in assisted living or personal care facilities
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Helping with mobility and transfers using assistive devices
• Providing medication reminders and assistance with administration
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
• Light housekeeping tasks
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Monitoring residents’ health and reporting changes to staff
• Assisting with recreational activities and outings
• Documenting care and observations in residents’ records
• Following facility policies to ensure safety and well-being
• May work full-time or part-time with evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Medication Administration Certification within first 4 weeks of employment
• Utilize Relias training online to update skills yearly
