Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chester, Virginia, is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care and assist residents with activities of daily living. You will report incidents, follow policies, assist with meals and mobility, support residents during activities, and help with housekeeping, safety, and documentation.

A high school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved PCA program are required; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds and cleaning resident areas.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Communicate resident status and needs to the nursing team and supervisor.
• Support new residents with move-in transitions and emotional support.
