Job summary

Kingston Wellness Retreat is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to help maintain a safe environment and support clients through the program. You will answer questions, adjust routines as needed, and supervise clients with a focus on safety and wellbeing.

Key duties include logging belongings, monitoring rounds, de-escalating problems, and coordinating with therapy staff. Strong communication and privacy compliance are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in substance abuse and/or mental health preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license with no major violations in past five years.

Responsibilities

• Record inventory log of belongings and secure valuables.
• Monitor clients and log whereabouts and rounds.
• De-escalate AMA and other client problems.
• Attend required staff meetings and maintain logbook for continuity of care.
• Provide emotional support and refer clients to therapy staff as needed.
• Complete paperwork neatly and on time; maintain privacy of client information.
• Observe and report safety and maintenance issues; ensure proper shift turnover.
