Job summary

Arbor Wellness is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to help maintain a safe environment for clients and support staff in Brentwood, TN. You will answer questions, adjust program routines, supervise sessions, and emphasize client safety and wellbeing throughout shifts.

The role involves detailed record-keeping, incident de-escalation, and collaboration with therapy staff to address clinical issues while upholding privacy standards in a structured facility setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in substance abuse and/or mental health preferred.
• Valid state driving license with no major violations in past five years.

Responsibilities

• Record inventory log of all personal belongings, valuables and return ticket.
• Monitor clients at all times and log whereabouts.
• De-escalate AMA and other client problems.
• Attend required staff training and meetings.
• Assist in maintaining clean, properly supplied work areas.
• Supervise clients with emphasis on safety and well-being; report infractions immediately.
• Provide emotional support and refer clients to therapy staff as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper handoff information for next shift.
