Responsibilities

• Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards.
• Use de-escalation and therapeutic interventions to manage patient behavior.
• Inventory patient belongings and perform routine safety checks.
• Follow infection control policies and complete required trainings.
• Perform vital signs, ADL, intake/output and nutrition monitoring; report to the nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Tailor care to patient age, disability and culture.
• Document observations and patient departures accurately and on time.
• Communicate care outcomes and follow-ups to the care team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
