Job summary

Ahg Master is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for day shift in Sumner, WA. The role focuses on safety, engagement, and collaboration with the care team to support guests in recovery within a therapeutic environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable upon hire.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic documentation.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of guests and the facility.
• Conduct rounds and document observations per agency standards.
• Monitor guest activities to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Facilitate engagement in programming and activities.
• Serve as liaison between guests and care team, including nursing, counseling, case management, and leadership.
• Complete charting, incident reports, and shift reports.
• Assist with admissions tasks and orientation of new guests.
• Monitor guest compliance with program expectations and facility guidelines.
• Respond to emergencies, crises, and behavioral health situations.
• Complete room checks, safety inspections, and environmental rounds.
• Assist with transportation coordination and other guest support needs as assigned.
• Support medication line operations under nursing staff direction where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Communicate effectively during shift handoff and interdisciplinary team interactions.
• Promote a culture of dignity, respect, accountability, and compassion.
