Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, healthcare administration, or a related office support role preferred.
• Prior experience in long‑term care, senior living, or a medical setting is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills—compassion and active listening are essential.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn specialized electronic medical records/admissions software.

Responsibilities

• Inquiry & Tour Support: Warmly respond to initial inquiries from prospective residents, family members, and hospital discharge planners; assist with conducting community tours.
• Admissions Logistics: Coordinate room readiness, welcome packets, and moving logistics with the nursing, environmental services, and maintenance teams prior to a new resident's arrival.
• Data & Documentation: Assist in gathering necessary medical and financial paperwork; accurately enter applicant data into our admissions tracking software.
• Relationship Management: Maintain proactive communication with families and referral sources to ensure a seamless transition into Canterbury Place.
• Community Relations: Assist the Admissions Director with outreach events, marketing efforts, and building strong relationships within the local Pittsburgh healthcare network.
