Job summary

Centria Autism in Michigan is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support one-on-one therapy under a BCBA. You will help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based strategies, while maintaining a safe and compassionate environment.

We provide comprehensive training, opportunities to grow, and a supportive team; the role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
• Contribute to a meaningful impact for children and families at the end of each day.
