Job summary

Compass by Margaritaville Key West is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead our dining operations, guest service, and team performance. This full-time role demands hands-on leadership in a fast-paced hospitality setting, with a focus on consistency, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in hospitality, strong financial acumen, supervisory experience, and proficiency with Windows-based tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in hospitality
• Proficient in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing; strong financial and arithmetic skills
• Supervisory experience preferred, with excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to stay composed and objective under pressure

Responsibilities

• You’re at the heart of the guest experience—ensuring everyone feels welcomed from lounge to banquet
• You coach and train your team so every shift runs smoothly
• You keep standards for grooming, safety, and certifications—Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid, and more
• You handle payroll, scheduling, and reports, tracking staff hours and productivity with ease
• You ensure food looks and tastes excellent, create promotions, and oversee inventory and beverage purchasing
• You address guest requests or concerns quickly, ensuring satisfaction and smooth operations

• Supervisory experience preferred, with excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stay composed and objective under pressure.

PROPERTY INFORMATION:
This Key West Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott hotel offers a large outdoor pool with poolside cabanas, a daily hot breakfast, and free WiFi. Guests will be 5 minutes' drive from historic Old Town Key West and 2 mi from Duval Street. A flat-screen cable TV, microwave, and small refrigerator are featured in all rooms. Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Key West rooms are decorated in vibrant colors and include coffee‑making facilities. Select rooms have private balconies.
