Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Engineering Technology, Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive engineering, vehicle integration, packaging, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of engineering theory and automotive design principles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to integrate complex systems with a passion for design.
• High analytical capability to solve complex technical problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and their impact on design feasibility.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX / Unigraphics CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate Voice of the Customer into package design.
• Develop, refine, and finalize engineering criteria with design/engineering partners.
• Lead creation of integrated technical solutions that resolve packaging issues while preserving design intent.
• Apply DFSS methodologies to drive robust design development and manage tradeoffs across cost, mass, timing, assembly, variation, and program imperatives.
• Integrate regional and global requirements and develop alternatives that meet brand and market needs.
• Communicate proactively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure package and Studio models align with customer-facing targets (space, visibility, storage, access).
• Lead cross-functional surface and integration forums (CITs, Surface Workgroups).
• Drive issue resolution and escalation for assigned areas; support design surfaces and VR/MR mockups.
