Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) seeks a Rail Operations Supervisor to oversee Rail Operators and coordinate real-time service control with the ROC. You will respond to incidents, maintain on-time performance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across operations.

The role requires coordinating with dispatch, analyzing service reliability, and communicating across departments to minimize disruptions while upholding customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or related role.
• 2+ years in rail operations/maintenance with focus on safe, reliable vehicle operations.
• Ability to pass background screening.
• Valid Colorado driver's license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain DSLE certification within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain FRA DSLE status within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Rail Operators, including training, coaching, performance management.
• Oversee daily rail operations and ensure safe, reliable service delivery.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate service adjustments with dispatch.
• Maintain real-time communication with ROC for critical updates.
• Respond to disruptions with operational solutions and safety focus.
• Ensure compliance with rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Document incidents and prepare reports for safety and performance reviews.
• Inspect stations and facilities for safety and readiness.
• Support customer service and uphold rider rules and conduct.
