Job summary

Bridgewater Bagel & Coffee in Bridgewater is looking for Commuter Ambassadors (CAs) to market OCCSS around campus and assist other students. This role involves tabling, staffing the office, and providing resources related to off-campus housing and commuting.

Applicants must be undergraduate students at Bridgewater State University and must complete ongoing training. Preferred qualifications include strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Good Judicial standing as determined by the Office of Community Standards.
• Must be a commuter or have experience commuting to campus.

Responsibilities

• Staff the office during scheduled work times.
• Table in other buildings and parking lots.
• Plan, advertise and implement programming around campus.
• Serve as a resource for students with commuting concerns.

Position Description

Commuter Ambassadors (CAs) are high energy, outgoing students who are marketing OCCSS around campus, outside of the office. They are tabling in parking lots and other areas on campus, promoting events, filming content and sharing resources. CAs also staff the office and serve as a resource to other students who come in the office.

Job Requirements

• 5 – 10 hours/week
• Some early mornings are required (7am tabling for example)
• Must attend and successfully complete training
• Must attend ongoing training and staff meetings as required

Responsibilities

• Staff the office during scheduled work times.
• Table in other buildings, parking lots, commuter lounge spaces and in town
• Staff tables at involvement fairs, admitted and accepted student days and events
• Plan, advertise and implement programming around campus
• Serve as a resource for students with questions or problems related to off-campus housing, community issues or commuting concerns
• Be familiar with University programs, services, and involvement opportunities for referral purposes
• Attend and complete ongoing training
• Research and create additional resources for the website
• Attend regularly scheduled team meetings
• Meet with supervisor for one-on-one meetings biweekly or as needed

• Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
