Job summary

The City of Santa Ana is seeking entry‑level Workforce Specialist I to support workforce development programs under WIOA and FSS guidelines. You will help with client orientation, data collection, outreach, and eligibility screening while maintaining accurate program records.

Ideal candidates will be proactive, organized, and comfortable coordinating with employers and community partners to link participants to supportive services and job opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with workforce development programs and related regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing resumes and job-search materials.
• Ability to interpret state/federal guidelines and maintain audit-ready records.
• Possession of and ability to maintain a valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client orientation, data collection and outreach activities.
• Screen for eligibility and maintain documentation for audits.
• Track client status and generate reports on performance goals.
• Build partnerships with employers and service providers in the community.
