Job summary

Kansas State University Extension is seeking an Extension agent to lead, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programming across the Rolling Prairie District, including Chautauqua County 4-H and community vitality initiatives.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor's degree, experience with youth development and volunteer management, and the ability to engage diverse audiences. Nights, weekends, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 12 credit hours or six months of relevant experience in primary programming responsibilities.
• Minimum GPA 2.75 or evidence of progressive responsibility.
• Experience delivering information, training, or education to groups or individuals.
• Leadership experience in supervisory or informal roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programming for healthy, sustainable communities.
• Manage the Chautauqua County 4-H program with volunteers and staff.
• Share responsibility for community vitality programming to strengthen capacity.
• Recruit and manage volunteers to extend the reach of extension programming.
