Job summary

YMCA of Greater Birmingham is seeking a Member Engagement & Wellness Director to lead a team focused on creating a welcoming, safe environment for every member. You will recruit, train, and develop staff, grow programming for families, seniors, and adults, and manage wellness initiatives and budgets.

You will partner with program directors on seasonal camps and enrichment programs, ensuring strong community partnerships and exceptional member experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build a welcoming, safe, member-focused culture that drives recruitment and retention
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop staff and volunteers including supervising the Wellness Coordinator
• Create and grow programs for families, seniors, and adults and coordinate registrations
• Partner with program directors on summer camps, membership initiatives, and enrichment programs
• Lead wellness programs including health coaching, personal training, chronic disease initiatives and onboarding of new members
• Oversee front desk operations and budget management for membership, wellness and family programming
