Job summary

YMCA in Huntsville, AL seeks a Membership Director to lead daily membership operations, drive growth and ensure exceptional member experiences across the branch. You will oversee staff, onboarding, engagement, and revenue performance while collaborating with leaders to align with YMCA priorities.

Reporting to the VP of Member Experience & Growth, you will champion the YMCA mission and foster a welcoming environment through strong service and program connections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, recreation, hospitality, event management, communications, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and leadership experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily membership operations, ensuring high-quality service and welcoming member experience.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate Membership Services Representatives and other staff.
• Establish and maintain membership sales, onboarding, engagement, and retention expectations.
• Drive membership growth through lead follow-up, tours, sales, retention, engagement and community outreach.
• Monitor performance metrics like new joins, cancellations, retention, and revenue.
