Job summary

SEARHC, Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, seeks a data analytics professional to oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for the Community Wellness Department and WISEWOMAN program. You will ensure data accuracy for regulatory and grant requirements and support dashboards, cross-department collaboration, and payer coding compliance.

The role emphasizes data quality, collaboration with CDC/ANHTC, and advancing patient access to prevention and healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in data analytics, health information management, health science, accounting, data entry, or a related field.
• Grant experience preferred.
• Four years or more of experience working with data analysis and reporting, along with the healthcare revenue cycle preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and submission of all required, regulatory, and quality improvement data reports for various external and internal stakeholders.
• Lead analyses of clinical, quality, and service provision data to support operational and strategic needs.
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and ad-hoc reporting.
• Work with partners at CDC, ANTHC, and across the State to enhance data reporting and utility.
• Attend required and relevant reporting entity meetings and trainings.
• Train and mentor the junior members of the Data & Analytics Team, as directed by Community Wellness Nurse Manager
• Obtains and compares data from multiple sources and reviews for discrepancies using various applications
• Performs quality assurance and validation tasks
• Provides education to patient revenue generating departments to ensure compliant charging and coding practices for the Community Wellness Department
• Collaborate with Patient Financial Services, Patient Access and Community Wellness Departments to develop and support workflows
• Review provider documentation to ensure reimbursement for services
• Reviews requests from other departments related to coding and charge capture
• Provides guidance, communicates, and serves as subject matter expert for assigned service line related to the billing process, and other related subjects related to Community Wellness charges.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Complete data entry and analysis for a lengthy amount of time.
• Work on different projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced setting with overlapping commitments and deadlines
• Assist the Community Wellness Department in achieving grant requirements and goals.
• Occasional travel is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects deemed necessary to meet grant guidelines.
