Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, specifically in water and sanitation infrastructure development.
• Strong understanding of water supply, sanitation systems, and related technologies.
• Proven experience in community engagement and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for water and sanitation infrastructure projects, from initiation to closure.
• Conduct needs assessments, feasibility studies, and site evaluations in collaboration with community members.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Oversee project implementation, ensuring quality standards and adherence to technical specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, government agencies, and community stakeholders in Upington.
• Implement community engagement strategies to ensure local participation and ownership of projects.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and challenges, and implement mitigation measures.
• Prepare regular progress reports, financial updates, and impact assessments for management and donors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Facilitate training for community members on the operation and maintenance of water and sanitation systems.
