Job summary

The ASPCA's Community Medicine team in New York City is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join the Community Veterinary Clinic. You will perform high-volume spay/neuter, preventive care, and outpatient procedures, collaborating with veterinarians and CM staff.

You must have NYS Veterinary Technician license, be able to lift 40+ pounds, and deliver compassionate care to underserved communities. English required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have current New York State Veterinary Technician License (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Excellent animal handling and customer service skills.
• Experience with computer systems and basic software required.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
• Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed.
• Monitor patient vital signs pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
• Enter medical information into digital databases and maintain records.
• Communicate with clients about animal health and care.
