Job summary

OATS Transit is hiring drivers in Branson, MO and surrounding areas. Join a nonprofit transportation provider serving seniors, people with disabilities, and rural communities. You will operate mini-vans, Ford Transits, or larger buses, with a focus on safety, courtesy, and reliability.

Position is non-exempt, hourly, and involves variable hours with day shifts. Benefits include holidays, paid time off after hours, and insurance options. A tablet is used in each vehicle for trip details.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 23 years of age.
• CDL Class E or CDL license required with no more than 4 points.
• Pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Bondable requirement.
• Must use a computer tablet in the vehicle; computer experience a plus.
• Proactive, helpful attitude with flexibility to adjust to different schedules/routes.
• Neat, organized, able to work independently.
• Active job with significant physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers on and off the bus with respect and courtesy.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices.
• Maintain excellent condition and cleanliness of assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Use in-vehicle tablet to receive trip information and validate times.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and submit to regional office.
• Attend routine paid training.
• Comply with federal/state/company rules and regulations.
