Job summary

OATS Transit, a non‑profit transportation provider in Missouri, is seeking drivers in Warrensburg to operate mini‑vans, Ford Transits, or wide‑body buses. This non‑exempt, hourly role emphasizes safe operation, passenger assistance, and routine training while serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, and rural communities.

Applicants must be 23+, hold a CDL/Class E or higher, pass DOT and drug screening, and be bondable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 23 years old
• Clean driving record with CDL Class E or CDL license and no more than 4 points
• Must pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test
• Must pass drug screening and periodic random testing
• Must be bondable
• Ability to operate a vehicle tablet and handle paperwork
• Must be flexible to schedules and routes, be neat and organized
• Physical ability to sit, walk, bend, reach and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist riders on and off the bus with respect and courtesy
• Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to procedures
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and good operating condition
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues
• Use in-vehicle tablet for trip details, updates, and timing
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately
• Attend paid training sessions
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
