Job summary

Las Trampas School, Inc. seeks a Community Support Staff to provide personal care and home-based support for adults with developmental disabilities in Lafayette, CA. The role includes hygiene, meals, light housekeeping, and assisting in community activities.

Requires a High School diploma, 18+ years, a CA driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid. Prior human services work is preferred; reliable vehicle is required for client transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Six months’ experience with persons with disabilities or in human services preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license with 3+ years driving experience and vehicle insurance.
• Must lift 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
• CPR and First Aid training current.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support (hygiene, meals, medications administration).
• Support participants with IPP/ISP person-centered planning for health, safety and participation.
• Perform light household tasks (cleaning, meal prep) <20% of duties.
• Assist with community access and appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation of progress and meetings.
