Job summary

Feel At Home Support Services seeks DirectSupport Staff to provide one-on-one in-home support for adults with developmental disabilities in Stockton, Lathrop, and Tracy. This PART-TIME role offers 3–6 hour shifts, Monday through Friday with weekend options.

You will work with one client at a time in their home and complete online training prior to starting. Required are 18+, HS diploma or GED, California driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid; Livescan background check is required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months experience with individuals with disabilities or in human services.
• Valid California Driver's License, reliable vehicle, auto insurance, and clean DMV record.
• TB clearance and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI check (Livescan).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
• Must complete online training prior to starting with clients.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, respectful relationships with assigned participants and their Circle of Support.
• Provide individualized instruction and assistance in daily living skills, transportation and community integration, self-advocacy and social skill development.
• Assist participants with accessing appointments, public benefits, and resources.
• Encourage self-determination and goal setting.
• Complete accurate documentation (shift notes, service hours, incident reports).
• Maintain professional communication with supervisors, Regional Center staff, and families.
• Adhere to safety, abuse prevention, and participant rights protocols.
• Perform CPR/first aid or seek emergency help when necessary.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and ISP planning sessions.
