Job summary

Cumberland County Guidance Center in Millville, New Jersey, is seeking a Full-Time Community Support Services Assistant Director to join our leadership team. The role supports CSS program operations, supervises case management staff, and provides clinical guidance to ensure high-quality, person-centered services.

Ideal candidates hold an LCSW or LSW, possess a master's in a relevant field, and have supervisory experience in behavioral health, with a strong commitment to recovery-oriented care

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related Human Services field.
• Active New Jersey License: LCSW or LSW.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory or leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years in behavioral health, case management, or community support services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight and administration of CSS programs.
• Supervise, support, and mentor case managers and community-based staff.
• Conduct rehabilitation assessments and assist with service planning.
• Promote community integration, psychiatric rehabilitation, and recovery-focused care.
• Provide field supervision, staff coaching, and clinical support.
• Respond to crises and assist with intervention and stabilization efforts.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, DMHAS standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor documentation quality, service delivery expectations, and program outcomes.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities and leadership coverage as needed.
