Job summary

Cumberland County Guidance Center seeks a Director of Community Support Services to lead CSS programs, supervise staff, and ensure recovery‑oriented, community‑based services in alignment with DMHAS regulations.

The role oversees program operations, budgeting, and quality initiatives while promoting staff development and evidence‑based practices, including MI, to support individuals living with serious mental illness toward independence.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a behavioral health field with NJ LCSW in good standing.
Experience supervising and developing staff in CSS programs.
Knowledge of DMHAS regulations and recovery‑oriented care.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical, administrative, and operational leadership for CSS programs.
Supervise CSS staff through individual and group supervision, coaching, and performance management.
Ensure high-quality, recovery-oriented services that support community integration.
Oversee program compliance with DMHAS regulations and agency policies.
Support evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Monitor outcomes, productivity, quality indicators, and performance improvement initiatives.
Manage budgeting, contracts, utilization management, and service performance expectations.
Provide crisis intervention support and participate in 24/7 on-call coverage.
