Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Midtown Service and Treatment Center in O'Fallon, MO, is hiring a Community Support Worker & Job Training Manager to provide case management with emphasis on employment, health, housing and community resources to stabilize clients pursuing a recovery lifestyle.

This full-time role involves developing treatment plans, coordinating services, assisting with housing searches, and delivering life skills and job readiness training to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing or related field plus one year of work experience.
• Experience with individuals recovering from substance abuse is a plus.
• CADC/MAADC credentials are a plus; if not held, application within 90 days.
• Computer word processing, spreadsheet and email experience; strong interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification and annual TB test required; team player and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management including intake, assessments, treatment planning and ongoing sessions.
• Make referrals to community resources to establish stability for clients.
• Re-engage clients with unexcused absences and promote recovery efforts.
• Coordinate services and advocate for housing and other needs.
• Monitor external providers and ensure communication across services.
• Conduct life skills training and job readiness activities; assist with resumes and interviews.
