Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to individuals in community settings.
• Assist individuals in developing and maintaining independent living and social skills.
• Support participation in community activities such as shopping, dining, recreation, and appointments.
• Encourage individuals to make choices and participate in daily decision-making.
• Assist with transportation to and from community locations when required.
• Provide support with communication and help individuals express needs and preferences.
• Monitor health, safety, and well-being of individuals in the community.
• Implement individualized service plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Document daily activities, progress, and incidents per agency policies.
• Maintain respectful and professional interactions with individuals, families, staff, and community members.
• Report concerns, incidents, or changes to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and state regulations related to service delivery.
