Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division’s Tri-City/St. Charles Corps seeks a dedicated Social Services Coordinator to oversee food pantry operations, emergency assistance, and seasonal programs.

You will assess client needs, provide material support, and link families with community resources to promote stability and self-sufficiency. Requires a high school diploma, at least two years in social services, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of relevant social services or emergency assistance experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with client records or case management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food pantry operations, inventory, distribution, and compliance.
• Assess clients' needs and provide eligible material or financial assistance.
• Coordinate with volunteers; train and support pantry volunteers.
• Develop service plans and connect clients to community resources and Salvation Army services.
• Assist with emergency and seasonal programs and maintain positive client relations.
