Job summary

The Salvation Army in Spokane is seeking a Community Services and Warehouse Specialist to support the Family Resource Center, food pantry, and warehouse operations. This on-site, full-time role requires strong organizational skills, facility with MS Word/Excel/Outlook, data entry, and a compassionate approach to serving at-risk populations.

You will manage donations, supervise volunteers, and assist with program administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree or higher with work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with client management systems is a plus.
• Empathy for vulnerable populations and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee/accept all deliveries to the food pantry and manage donations.
• Log and weight all donations; ensure first-in, first-out rotation for warehouse and freezer.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and food pantry; supervise volunteers as needed.
• Interview applicants to determine eligibility for programs and monitor food distributions to clients.
• Follow TSA policies and assist with seasonal events; participate in meetings as required.
