Job summary

The Salvation Army of Kenosha seeks a Social Services & Community Programs Coordinator to support individuals and families in need through intake, assessment, and referrals. You will identify clients for Pathway of Hope, determine eligibility, review income/expenses, and guide plans while connecting to community resources.

Responsibilities include documenting encounters in SIMS, coordinating food pantry activities, and supporting fundraising and volunteer programs.

Qualifications

• Interview and evaluate needs for potential applicants and provide referrals.
• Determine eligibility and provide services within funding limits.
• Review household income/expenses and assist in budgeting plans.
• Document all client meetings and enter data into SIMS.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, interview, and assess needs for services and referrals.
• Provide eligibility determinations and connect clients to resources.
• Review finances with clients and develop monthly expense plans.
• Assess emotional/spiritual needs and link to community resources.
• Complete intake, manage eligibility during pantry hours, and enter data into SIMS.
• Distribute food boxes during emergency situations and support Pathway of Hope.
• Coordinate events and programs for social services; support corps activities.
• Coordinate volunteers and training documentation; attend staff and community meetings.
