Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience in organizing and implementing community services and programs.
• Bachelor's degree with major coursework in public administration, recreation, communications, business administration, or related field.
• Knowledge of program and budget development, administration, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, supervises and plans the functions within the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, including programs and events.
• Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff; develops schedules and work methods; reviews timesheets and ensures safety.
• Oversees facility scheduling and contracts; monitors equipment and supplies; maintains safety records.
• Develops and monitors division budget; prepares reports and correspondence; maintains records.
• Establishes relationships with community organizations and agencies; participates in meetings and public outreach.
