Job summary

North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is seeking a Consumer Services Coordinator for the SFV School Age 10 program. The position provides information, advocacy, and service coordination for consumers and families in the San Fernando Valley.

Required are a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least two years of experience; Master’s may substitute. Strong communication skills and knowledge of developmental disabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field and at least two years of related experience.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities; strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience coordinating services and working in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, advocacy, and service arrangement for consumers and families.
• Develop and monitor program plans for individuals; revise as needed.
• Identify and coordinate services for individuals and families.
• Document forms and reports per regulations and NLACRC policies.
• Advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings with families, providers, and advocates.
• Assist with coverage and on-call duties as needed; support co-workers.
