Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Service Center Coordinator in Payson, AZ to develop and supervise social service programs, manage daily operations, and partner with the Divisional Service Extension Director. You'll recruit and retain volunteers, coordinate advisory boards, and seek funding through grants and local campaigns.

This role requires strong administrative skills, crisis awareness, confidentiality, and the ability to work with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2+ years office management experience preferred.
• 5+ years social service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of The Salvation Army structure preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and TEAMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent The Salvation Army within the local community.
• Produce and process office correspondence and maintain records.
• Coordinate and supervise services, volunteers and advisory board.
• Assist with fundraising, grants, and kettle campaigns.
• Promote programs and respond to public inquiries on media platforms.
• Travel for local meetings, events, and training; manage multiple tasks.
