Job summary

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for ParkX Management to help ensure a safe, clean, and positive experience for residents, tenants, and guests. You will patrol, control access, enforce rules, and support events at Reston properties.

The role requires a High School Diploma, DCJS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and at least 1 year in customer-service. Valid driver's license and flexibility for after-hours work are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of at least 1 year experience in customer-service related field.
• Valid driver’s license without major violations.
• DCJS certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed.
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system.
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Ensure no property is being damaged and monitor safety.
• Conduct routine foot patrols around building.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Observation and reporting of safety concerns.
• Issue banning notices to rule violators.
• Maintain Ban Notices file and notify management when necessary.
• Maintain appearance of plaza kiosks and enforce plaza policies.
• Communicate rules and directions to guests, ensuring fire access areas remain clear.
• Report any unknown work at the property to management.
• Notify Park X and property management if illegal parking is observed.
• Assist marketing before, during, and after events at Reston and Loudoun Station.
• Manage valet at Reston Station and ensure plaza and ramp are clear.
