Job summary

CAMBA, a nonprofit serving Brooklyn communities, is hiring a Security Guard at our Van Dyke II location in Brooklyn, NY. You will monitor access, deter incidents, and support a safe environment for staff, clients, and visitors while maintaining post assignments.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, NYS Security Guard license/registration, clearance with CHC, and completion of mandatory training. The position is full-time (35 hours/week) with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be fingerprinted and obtain CHC background checks.
• As a Mandated Reporter, report suspected abuse to VPCR.
• Must have NYS Security Guard license and maintain registration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to ensure security of people and property.
• Detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of rules.
• Maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved.
• Protect employees, visitors and tenants.
• Provide directions to visitors when requested.
