Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services is seeking a Community Schools Coordinator for our Calumet office in Chicago. You will supervise staff and volunteers, develop trainings, and manage all components of the Community School while aligning activities with our restorative approach and mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in program development or management with children.
• OR HS diploma with 6+ years of relevant program development/management experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Community School staff, interns, and volunteers; manages hiring and training processes.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive Community School training program.
• Oversees all components of the Community School, including after-school programs and community activities.
• Addresses behavioral challenges with restorative approaches and conducts needs assessments.
• Plans high-quality activities aligned with mission and pillars; supports funder deliverables.
• Ensures reporting, budget management, and evaluation components are completed.
