Job summary

Aspire Public Schools is seeking a Community School Director in California to design, implement, and supervise the Community Schools Partnership Program preventions, interventions, and enrichment activities supporting student development.

You will build relationships with school leaders, families, and community organizations to implement a community school strategy aligned to CCSPP. You will lead advisory committees and collaborate across regional teams.

• Excellent relationship-building and management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities with diverse audiences.
• Strong organization, time management and follow-up skills; ability to handle multiple projects.
• Bilingual – Spanish speaking and writing.
• Leadership experience with culture-building and peer leadership.
• Knowledge of Aspire procedures and policies related to students.
• Committed to students and learning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school leaders to identify academic, socio-emotional, and health resources for students and families.
• Cultivate partnerships with community organizations and government agencies.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders for collaborative decision-making.
• Support expanded health and wellness services at the school.
• Strengthen family engagement and community building initiatives.
• Support attendance interventions and partnerships to reduce barriers to attendance.
• Coordinate enrichment activities during school hours, after school, and in summer.
• Track program progress and evaluate activity effectiveness with regional/office staff.
• Lead updates to the Community Schools Implementation Plan and CCSPP alignment.
• Chair the Community Schools Advisory Committee with broad representation.
• Collaborate to ensure high-quality community school programming.
