Job summary

United Way of Greater Knoxville is seeking a Community School Site Coordinator to connect schools, families, and partners. You’ll assess needs, build annual site plans, and convene a steering committee to guide priorities. You’ll nurture local partnerships and use data to show impact in improving student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in social work, human services, business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Gift for building trust across cultures, backgrounds, and organizational levels.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills; ability to adapt your message for different audiences.
• Comfort using data and reports to make decisions.
• Excellent organization and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and openness to new tools.
• Reliable transportation for occasional local and regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Build the plan by assessing your school community’s strengths and needs to create an annual site plan.
• Convene a site steering committee of families, community members, and staff to set priorities.
• Grow partnerships with local organizations to expand services for students and families.
• Use data to track, evaluate, and report progress to school leadership and partners.
• Be an integrated member of the school and participate in relevant committees.
• Engage the community by coordinating events and ensuring inclusive participation.
• Steward resources by managing the site budget and identifying funding opportunities.
