Job summary

Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Community Response Team Member for an on-site position in Charleston, SC. The role focuses on safety and well-being for residents, staff, and guests, with rotating weekend coverage and a 1pm–11:30pm shift.

You’ll patrol campus, respond to emergencies, complete incident reports, and assist with after-hours logistics while maintaining a calm, proactive presence and strong communication with the community.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal communication is essential for residents, staff and guests.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergencies and busy moments.
• A proactive safety mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Patrols across campus buildings and grounds.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with EMS.
• Completes incident reports and maintains safety logs.
• Assists with after-hours deliveries and resident support.
• Conducts fire drills and safety inspections.
• Manages wildlife control when necessary.
