Job summary

Bishop Gadsden is hiring a full-time Community Response Officer (Security) on James Island, SC. The role runs 7am-5:30pm with rotating weekends, supervising safety across community buildings and grounds.

You will patrol, respond to emergencies, file incident reports, and assist in drills and inspections to ensure a secure living environment. Ideal candidates are 21+, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid SC driver’s license, and can complete Advanced First Aid training within

Qualifications

• Must have security experience and be at least 21 years old.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid SC driver’s license.
• Must complete Advanced First Aid training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol halls and grounds during shift according to standard procedures.
• Provide high visibility to reassure residents and maintain safety.
• Complete incident reports as needed.
• Respond to emergency pager and direct EMS if needed.
• Conduct fire drills and assist with inspections of extinguishers.
• Deliver prescriptions after hours if required.
• Assist in checking residences when warranted by unusual situations.
• Trap and neutralize wildlife as necessary.
