Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community is seeking a full-time Community Response Officer (Security) on James Island, near Charleston. The role covers patrols, incident reporting, and rapid responses to pager alerts, ensuring safety across the campus and surrounding areas.

The position requires a valid SC driver’s license, a high school diploma (preferred), and the ability to obtain Advanced First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• General experience in security preferred.
• Valid SC driver’s license.
• Able to complete Advanced First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol halls and grounds regularly according to procedure.
• Provide high visibility to reassure residents and visitors.
• Complete incident reports as needed.
• Respond to emergency pager and follow procedure for emergencies.
