The State of Arkansas, Department of Corrections is seeking an entry‑level Community Supervision Officer I to supervise offenders on probation or parole across Lawrence and Randolph Counties. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, psychology, social work, or related field is required.
• Two years of social services, human services, corrections, or law enforcement experience is required.
• Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and be able to be certified as a specialized police officer by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standard Commission within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a caseload of low- to moderate-risk probationers and parolees; ensure adherence to supervision requirements.
• Conduct routine office visits and home visits; perform employment verifications.
• Develop individualized case plans addressing risks, needs, and goals for rehabilitation.
• Monitor compliance with court-ordered conditions (employment, treatment programs, community service).
• Perform random drug and alcohol screenings and report results.
• Investigate and document violations of probation or parole conditions.
• Assist with violation reports and recommendations for corrective action.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, psychology, social work, or related field
