Responsibilities include managing offender caseloads, ensuring adherence to conditions, assisting with employment, and documenting activities. Levels I-III detail increasing responsibilities and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Level I: Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and procedures; ability to document and communicate effectively in writing.
  • Level II: Knowledge of evidence-based practices, community resources, and re-entry services; strong ability to manage substantial caseloads.
  • Level III: Advanced expertise in a specific area of practice; ability to train and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of adult offenders using motivational interviewing to assess risk/need.
  • Refer offenders to treatment programs to address criminogenic needs.
  • Monitor compliance with transition plans and conditions; assist with employment efforts.
  • Maintain offender records and document payments and activity.
  • Conduct investigations (pre-sentence, interstate, pre-parole) as required.
  • Assist in security operations during disturbances and transport offenders when needed.
