Job summary

Crossroads YMCA is hiring a Leader on Duty to supervise the branch, grounds, and ensure safety and exceptional member service. You will handle emergencies, guide staff, and promote a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.

The role emphasizes leadership, community engagement, and adherence to YMCA policies, with responsibilities including onboarding, training, and coaching staff, plus active support for membership growth and program promotion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor, and provide direction for the branch and grounds, including parking lots, especially in emergencies.
• Promote a safe, friendly, and fun culture within the organization and support member and staff retention.
• Lead customer service and engagement strategies to recruit and retain members and programs.
• Onboard, train, and coach staff; conduct interviews or tours for prospective members.
