Job summary

The Vermont Foodbank, Inc. is seeking a Program Specialist in Community Resources to help Vermonters access food resources through 3SquaresVT (SNAP) and CSFP. This full-time, hybrid role supports outreach, enrollment, and connection to additional community resources.

You will respond to inquiries via phone, email, and text, assist with applications, and work to elevate community voices. The position requires a commitment to equity, trauma-informed approaches, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer-service orientation.
• Ability to explain complex programs in plain language.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment within Vermont.
• Experience supporting diverse community needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide application assistance for 3SquaresVT and CSFP.
• Connect community members to resources beyond food programs.
• Support outreach, advocacy, and trauma-informed initiatives.
• Provide data entry and tracking for inquiries and enrollment.
• Collaborate with staff and external partners to improve processes.
